If you need to obtain another copy of the file(s) please login to your account, where you will find a My eBooks link which will enable you to send the file(s) to yourself via email.

Amazon Kindle and mobipocket devices

Loading to AMAZON KINDLE

There are two ways to upload Sphinx Books ebooks to your Kindle. Either :

  1. Forward it to your Kindle email address (i.e. johnsmith@kindle.com)- make sure your sending email is registered with your Kindle account and that your Kindle is registered with Amazon.
  2. Side-load with a USB cable:
    1. Connect your Kindle to your computer using the USB cable that came with your device.
    2. Download the files and open the Downloads folder to view the files.
    3. Drag the Mobi file into the “Documents” folder on your Kindle. Please note that different models of Kindle and mobipocket devices may require the mobi file to be put into a different folder. Please check your device’s manual via 'Help'.
    4. The new title will appear when you next switch the device on.

iPad, iPhone, Kobo, Nook, Sony and most other ereaders

Loading to an APPLE Device (iPhone, iPad, iPod)

There are two ways to upload Sphinx Books ebooks to your Apple device. Either :

    1. Drag the file into your iTunes
    2. Connect the device and sync.
    3. The new title will appear in the iBook App when the synchronization is finished.
  1. Open this email on your iPhone, iPad, iPod and tap the attached file(Please note: your device needs to have the iBook app installed.)

Loading e-books to a NOOK, KOBO, SONY or other eReader

To upload Sphinx Books eBooks to your NOOK, KOBO or Sony eReader :

  1. Connect your device to your computer using a USB cable.
  2. Open your device folder.
  3. To move an e-book from your computer to the device, simply drag-and-drop the desired ebook onto the device folder.
  4. The new title will appear when you next switch on the device.

Sphinx Books ebooks are digitally 'watermarked' to identify them as your personal property. They are for personal use only and cannot be shared, sold or distributed to any third parties.

If you have bought a book online and would like to return it, you can do so by returning the item to our returns department. All you need is the book and your Sphinx Books receipt. As long as it is in the condition in which it was received, we will willingly exchange or refund it.

* If the book is damaged when you receive it, we will fully refund your credit/debit card to match the value of the book on the receipt, including the postage.

However, any losses incurred or sustained by customers who transmit information by means of email or other internet link shall be borne solely and exclusively by that customer and in no event shall any such losses in whole or in part be borne by Sphinx Books. If you are using a public computer, you must sign out when you have finished shopping.

If you discover that goods have been ordered using your credit/debit card by someone not authorised to do so, Sphinx Books will refund to you the money it receives provided that:
(a) you inform your credit/debit card company and Sphinx Books of the unauthorised purchase as soon as you discover it; and
(b) you co-operate with your credit/debit card company, Sphinx Books and, if necessary, the police in relation to the unauthorised use.
